James is....The Joker
When James walked into the studio with dyed green hair and a box of goodies we knew we were in for a great session. With three completely different looks, James transformed from the Joker bare chested and donning prison orange, to the Joker in a straight jacket and finally to a very proper if not comedic version of the Joker.
Armed with so many options we created our signature composite image of not only the prison cell scene but also of the Joker in the street leaving behind the destruction he had caused.
In addition to the composites the variety of images allowed us to create a series of collage options for James to choose from. James' ability to 'get into character' enabled us to capture a vast range of expression and emotion in each image.
Just love the centre image below which really shows what our sessions are all about. James who had spent much of the session moving from a dark and moody Joker to a slightly creepy sadistic Joker eventually cracked up laughing to create what is perhaps my favourite image of the day.
Behind the Scenes
James was well prepared for his Joker session and knew exactly how he wanted to portray his character. Makeup is integral to this character and these are a coupe of behind the scenes pics. As you can see Mat is taking some video of the session which can be seen below.
Even in this first pic, while we were making some small adjustments to the lights, James was focusing and getting into character.
And a few touch ups during the session by Jen...
