When Renee and Bryce first came to see me one of the questions I asked is 'Why did you choose Sebel Pinnacle Valley Resort for your wedding ceremony and reception venue?' They explained that they had initially looked at venues on the Mornington Peninsula but felt they were treated like a number. When the visited Sebel Pinnacle Valley it was different - they were treated as special.
Boys Getting Ready
The boys got ready in one of the Chalets with family portraits outside before we moved into the foyer area for a few shots to take advantage of the timber sawn wall.
Girls Getting Ready
When I walked into the bridal suite I knew Renee's bridesmaids would be amazing. I was welcomed into the room, turned the corner and found the neatest room for getting ready in. Dresses were hung side by side on the far side of the room, shoes, jewellery, notes and flowers were all lined up along a wall and there was no clutter! As a photographer I'm used to shooting in all sorts of environments and I know a wedding day can be hectic, with emotions running high and while I recommend a room free of clutter the reality is, it is very difficult to achieve.
The girls were attentive, couldn't be more helpful to me and to Renee while she was getting ready and the closer it got to ceremony time the more the tears flowed. It was clearly evident the level of love and affection everyone in the room had for Renee and for Bryce. In addition the girls knew how to have a good time. They were enthusiastic, having a laugh and generally great to be around.
First Look at Mirimbah Park, Merrijig
Renee and Bryce had decided on a 'First Look' which is seeing each other before the ceremony. The First Look took place at Mirimbah Park a short drive from The Sebel where the couple could be away from family and friends who were staying at The Sebel.
It took place on the banks of the river and we were able to capture some images of them prior to heading back for the ceremony.
The Ceremony
Renee and Bryce's ceremony was held under the arbor at Sebel with the gorgeous backdrop of the surrounding hills.
Bridal Party
Reception
Many couples rush their first dance but not Renee and Bryce. Their's was one of the best choreographed dances that I have had the pleasure to photograph.
We took a few minutes away from the reception to capture this silhouette as the sun dipped behind the hills.
Congratulations Renee and Bryce and thank you for choosing me to capture your wedding day.
