Overnewton Castle Wedding
I first met Brett almost 2 years ago when I photographed him "in character" as Deadpool. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Brett and were thrilled with the results from his session.

So when Brett called me to photograph his Melbourne wedding I couldn't wait. He and Sabina were married in an intimate ceremony in Vegas earlier in the year but wanted to celebrate their marriage with family and friends. They chose beautiful Overnewton Castle, Keilor to host their Melbourne reception. The building, covered in ivy, was originally built in 1849 and provides a beautiful back drop for wedding ceremonies and photography. It's spiral staircase, original features and high ceilings inside compliment the beautifully manicured gardens and mature trees outside.

Photographs with the staircase is a must have for couples getting married at Overnewton Castle. The iconic composition of looking down through the spirals to the couple at the bottom of the stairs is the most popular however the staircase lends itself to a variety of other options.
Everywhere you look there are photographic opportunities - this is the hallway that leads to the staircase. Couples often worry about the weather on their wedding day but in the event of inclement weather there are so many inside wet weather options for both the ceremony and for photography.
Despite being located just 15 minutes from Melbourne's CBD when you enter the precinct of Overnewton Castle you feel like you have escaped to the country.
The outdoor opportunities are endless and include the balcony, vine covered castle walls, manicured gardens, gazebo and rear bluestone buildings.
Thank you Brett and Sabina's for allowing me to be a part of your Melbourne wedding reception - what a wonderful day celebrating with family and friends with just a hint of Deadpool!
